How Yoga changed my life ...

"The art of teaching is tolerance. Humbleness is the art of learning." BKS Iyengar
For many years I have worked long hours in front of a computer. My husband’s job sent us to the Big Apple: the whole family moved and I had to quit my job.
Over there, as many New Yorkers, I followed the mood, and put my yoga pants on.
I tried Iyengar yoga, and different other yogas to be sure I picked the more appropriate to me. Having a scoliosis since my teen’s age, Iyengar yoga helped me to correct my general posture and balance my spine. Despite practising ballet for almost 20 years, I learnt to work differently, with all the parts of my body.
After 3 years in New York, my family and I came back to Europe, and settled in London. I started the teacher training in 2013 at the Iyengar Yoga Institute of Maida Vale: 2 years of teacher training , followed by a rigorous assesment.
As a yoga teacher, I am dedicated and required to maintain professional development. I still practice each week with my senior teacher, and attend regular workshop and annual Iyengar convention.

Testimonials

I deeply enjoyed training with Nathalie over the last year.  Nathalie is a very attentive, thorough and experienced yoga teacher.  She is eager to help students practice yoga in an accurate way according to the Iyengar discipline.  Additionally she is very careful to make sure that poses are adapted to each person’s individual characteristics and she brings in necessary adjustments (use of props, slight tweaks to the poses etc.) to ensure each student is getting the best of the training.  She provides lots of encouragements which helps build students' confidence.  Each training has been for me not only a source of great personal exercise but also a very nice time spent together.

Nathalie came to my house several times to give me yoga lessons. Some classes we were 3 students, some others 2. She was very good, patient, adapting the moves for each student, passionate about her job, positive, etc... It was always a great pleasure to have a class with Nathalie. I would recommend to anyone.

Thanks to Nathalie, I have discovered the full benefits of practicing yoga! When I started I couldnt even touch the floor with my hands when bending. Now I am very proud I can do Astavakrasana or eight angle pose, backbend and much more. Thank you Nathalie for having guided me !

Nathalie introduced me to yoga a few months ago and I am now becoming more and more addicted to it. Thanks to her patience and dedication, I am gradually becoming more flexible and discovering the benefits of yoga through relaxed (yet well-structured) made-to-measure sessions.
I make regular progress thanks to her well-balanced scheme of exercices and challenges, adapted to my needs and abilities. When the poses are too challenging, Nathalie always gives good advice and tips (with a hint of humour!) to gradually succeed. Highly recommended!
